Meet Your Course Instructor

Calyn Stringer is a former foster parent and adoptive parent of five children. After fostering and adopting, the Stringers began dedicating their time to raising awareness for the need for more foster families. For eight years, Calyn was on staff with the NWF Health Team as a foster family support specialist, where she taught and licensed new foster families. She stepped away from full-time child welfare work, but still volunteers, helping teach pre-service training classes for her local agency. She is passionate about engaging churches and community partners in finding homes for children.
